Liverpool reject Torres transfer request

Liverpool have rejected a transfer request from Fernando Torres and told the Spain striker they expect him to honour his long-term contract.

Speculation had been rife all day about the 26-year-old’s future after the club turned down a £35m bid from Chelsea last night.
