Cassano set for Milan move
Antonio Cassano's move to AC Milan will only be made official once the Serie A transfer opens on January 2.
Reports in Italy claim the Sampdoria striker will, however, be allowed to join his new club at a training camp in Dubai later this month.
Samp and AC Milan reportedly reached an agreement for the transfer of the Italy international to the San Siro yesterday.
Cassano is set to sign a contract until June 2014 with the Rossoneri outfit.
The 28-year-old has not featured for Samp since being dropped from the squad back in October following a heated argument with club president Riccardo Garrone.
Sampdoria attempted to rescind the player's contract but were unsuccessful.
However, Cassano was punished last week by an arbitration panel with his wages reduced by 50% for the duration of his contract with Sampdoria, which expires in June 2013.
The imminent arrival of Cassano to the San Siro has increased speculation that Ronaldinho could be on his way out of Milan.
The Brazilian has yet to sign a contract extension with the Rossoneri outfit, with his current deal ending in June.
Milan resume their Serie A campaign at Cagliari on January 6.
