Santos snub Lyon and Hammers

Santos today claimed they have rejected offers from Lyon and West Ham for two of their young stars.

The Brazilian giants say Lyon made a bid of €15m for midfielder Ganso, 20, while West Ham offered the same amount for 18-year-old striker Neymar.

Santos, however, have no intention of selling either player.

The club’s director of football Pedro Luiz Nunes said on www.santosfc.com.br: “The proposal for Ganso was €15m, eight up front and then a further seven depending on the player’s performance.

“We also received an offer from West Ham for Neymar worth €15m.

“Our position is clear, we are not interested in opening negotiations for these players.”
