Final court bid to save Cork City

The High Court has heard that a consortium willing to pay Cork City's debts will do so if they are granted a licence by the FAI by 5pm this evening.

The consortium is made up of Michael O'Connell and Peter Gray along with the Cork City Supporters' Trust, Foras.

The club owes over €100,000 to the Revenue Commisisoners whose lawyers today said they weren't prepared to go down the road of conditions.

Ms Justice Mary Laffoy agreed and in putting the matter back until 4pm this afternoon told the consortium to 'put their money where their mouth is'.

Justice Laffoy has indicated she is not willing to let the matter go past today.
