Doyle steeled for Stoke clash
It won't be easy - that's the verdict of Irish international Kevin Doyle ahead of his side's trip to the Brittania Stadium this weekend.
Fourth-from-bottom Wolverhampton Wanders tackle Tony Pulis's Stoke City. Wanderer's have drawn both their last games against Everton and Aston Villa respectively and find themselves with just nine points from 10 games.
Stoke welcome back Thomas Sorensen after he missed last weekend's win at Spurs with flu.
Mamady Sidibe is in contention for a starting place following a knee injury but defender Robert Huth is suspended.
Wexford native Kevin Doyle told Beat 102-103 Sport that the Brittania Stadium is not an easy place to go and that his side would be "up against it" on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Wolverhampton Wanderers descend upon Wexford on Sunday in preparation for Monday's friendly with the Wexford Youths in Ferrycarrig Park.
The match came about as part of the deal that brought Kevin Doyle to Wolves from Reading this summer.
The Wexford native will be on display; but the Premier League side will also be bringing over their entire first team.
With a game against Stoke this Saturday and Arsenal looming next weekend, Wolves boss Mick McCarthy will be hoping all of his players emerge injury free from the Ferrycarrig encounter.
The former Youth player has told Beat 102-103 he has not played in Ferrycarrig before, but knows the facilities are excellent so is looking forward to the clash.
