Terry upset with booking
Chelsea captain John Terry believes he should have escaped the booking that will keep him out of the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final with Liverpool.
Terry was booked in the second-half of last nightâs 3-1 win for a challenge on Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina and will be suspended for the return leg at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.
The England skipper also revealed that Reina did not think his challenge warranted a yellow card.
âI felt as though I went for the ball, thatâs all I ever do as a player,â explained Terry.
âIâve spoke to Reina again and he said it wasnât a yellow card. He already knew I was on a yellow card and he was honest with me.
âIt reminds of when Liverpoolâs Xabi Alonso was booked in a similar situation with Eidur Gudjohnsen a couple of years ago. He was crying after that game. Iâm obviously very disappointed.â
