Cooke back in contention for Galway
Bray Wanderers welcome league leaders Galway United to the Carlisle Grounds for tonight’s League of Ireland Premier Division clash, kick-off 7.45pm.
For Galway, David Cooke has fully recovered from a hamstring strain picked up in the warm-up against St Pat’s and will be in contention for a starting place.
Injured midfielder John Russell continues his recovery and is not available while Jonathan Keane is taking a break from football for a few weeks.
United boss Ian Foster said: “There is an element of expectation now that we have won both of our opening games, but that is something we must deal as a team.
“Bray have also made a good start and are the only other side in the Premier Division not to concede a goal so we will have to work hard to break them down.
“But the lads have worked hard in the games to date and we will go there with the confidence picked up from the wins so far and hopefully we can continue this good start.”
Paul Byrne, who has started both Bray's outings in the league so far, will miss out as he serves a one-match ban having four penalty points, carried over from last season.
Otherwise, Eddie Gormley has a full squad to choose from with Stephen Brennan, who was carrying a hamstring strain, now fully recovered, as is Daryl Robson who missed the opening games with an ankle injury.
Wanderers boss Gormley said: "We had a positive finish on Friday night in Drogheda and put in an excellent second-half performance.
“I think it will be a close encounter. We look fairly solid at the back and they are not leaking goals. If we put in a good performance we will be in with a great chance of the three points.”
