Neale Fenn broke his Bohemians goal drought with an opening day strike after 28 minutes for what proved the winner for Pat Fenlon's side at Terryland Park.

Fenn did well to hold off the challenge of Galway defender John Fitzgerald to get the shot in.

Galway were always in the game and came closest to levelling on 63 minutes when Derek Glynn’s stunning shot brought a brilliant save from Brian Murphy.
