Moore joins West Brom
West Brom have signed Aston Villa striker Luke Moore on loan until the end of the season with a view to a permanent deal.
The Baggies will have the option to sign Moore in the summer for a fee of £3m, which could rise to £3.5m, while Villa have a 24-hour recall option after the first 28 days of the loan.
Moore will go straight into West Brom’s squad for tomorrow’s clash with Hull and will compete for a starting berth alongside Ishmael Miller, Roman Bednar and Craig Beattie.
“Luke brings quality and hunger. He’ll bring a bit more balance to the striking options. He scores goals and his scoring record is good in the Premier League,” said West Brom manager Tony Mowbray.
“As a young player, hopefully he’s one for the future as well as one for today. I just want to put him in an environment where he can flourish.
“He understands where we are and the quality of footballers we’ve got in the position he plays. He’s happy enough to come on board and compete for a place in the team.”
