Van Persie returns to Gunners frame

Arsenal welcome back Robin van Persie for tomorrow’s Barclays Premiership clash with Charlton, but defender Sol Campbell is not yet ready for a first-team return.

Both centre-back Campbell (ankle) and forward Van Persie (toe) played for the reserves earlier in the week, but the veteran England international needs more time to regain full match fitness, according to boss Arsene Wenger.

Jose Antonio Reyes (hamstring), Freddie Ljungberg (calf) and Abou Diaby (ankle) are all out, while defenders Pascal Cygan (hamstring), Ashley Cole (ankle) and Gael Clichy (foot) also continue their rehabilitation.
