Gunners have it all to do

Arsenal may have beaten Real Madrid in the Bernabeu but they arrived at Craven Cottage with the form statistics stacked against them.

The Gunners had won only two of their last eight away games before today and Fulham’s Barclays Premiership home record is eight wins from the last nine.

Chris Coleman was without Wayne Bridge, who injured his ankle on England duty, and so Liam Rosenior returned to the starting line-up.

Arsene Wenger was still missing key defenders Sol Campbell, Ashley Cole and Lauren.

Wenger started with Dennis Bergkamp, Jose Reyes and Cesc Fabregas on the bench. His team face Real Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League clash at Highbury on Wednesday.

Fulham: Warner, Volz, Knight, Goma, Rosenior, Radzinski, Elliott, Malbranque, Boa Morte, Helguson, McBride. Subs: Crossley, Bocanegra, John, Elrich, Niclas Jensen.

Arsenal: Lehmann, Eboue, Toure, Senderos, Flamini, Ljungberg, Diaby, Silva, Hleb, Adebayor, Henry. Subs: Poom, Reyes, Bergkamp, Fabregas, Djourou.

Referee: R Styles (Hampshire)
