Northern Ireland will open their Euro 2008 qualifying campaign with back-to-back home games against Iceland and Spain.

The Group F fixtures were drawn up after a meeting of the various national associations involved in Copenhagen.

Iceland will be the first side to visit Belfast on September 2 followed by Spain four days later.

The Irish will then travel to Denmark and host Latvia in October. Games against the other two sides in the group, Liechtenstein and Sweden, will follow in March 2007.

The programme will end with a difficult trip to Spain in November 2007.
