Ireland target Alex Scott hasn’t made the England World Cup squad but will link up for their pre-tournament training camp in Florida next week.
Heimir Hallgrímsson recently admitted the FAI were exploring the midfielder’s intentions as he’s eligible to declare through his Northern-Ireland born father Noel. They had been aware of his eligibility since his earlier spell at Bristol City.
The 22-year-old has been a driving force for Bournemouth this season as they continue their tilt for a first Champions League qualification – featuring in all 37 games ahead of Sunday’s conclusion.
The player was born in Guernsey and has represented England through the youth ranks, including as an integral part of Lee Carlsey’s U21s retaining their Euro crown.
Thomas Tuchel promoted Scott to his senior squad in November but left him as an unused substitute against Albania and Serbia.
He has been invited, along with Josh King and Rio Ngumoha, to travel with the squad on June 1 to Florida for a warm-weather training camp.
Arsenal’s players will be delayed linking up due to their Champions League final showdown with Paris Saint-Germain.
