Sacked Newcastle manager Graeme Souness has walked into a broadside from his former Liverpool team-mate Mark Lawrenson.

The BBC pundit has criticised Souness signings Jean-Alain Boumsong and Celestine Babayaro, branding Boumsong “the biggest joke in the Premiership”.
