Owen OK for action

Newcastle striker Michael Owen will join up with the England squad tomorrow optimistic he is ready for Saturday’s vital World Cup qualifier against Austria.

The 25-year-old missed his club’s 0-0 Barclays Premiership draw at Portsmouth on Saturday after suffering a dead leg in a training ground collision with defender Steven Taylor last week.
