Money talk wide of the mark, says Ferdinand

Rio Ferdinand has dismissed as “a load of rubbish” reports he was holding out for a £120,000 (€173,000)-a-week contract at Manchester United.

The England defender agreed a four-year deal with the Old Trafford outfit yesterday and will sign it before the Barclays Premiership opener against Everton on Saturday.
