Woodgate making progress

Jonathan Woodgate’s chances of returning to action have increased after the defender started pre-season training with Real Madrid in Austria.

The 25-year-old centre-back has been with the Spanish giants for a year now but has yet to make his debut after a series of injuries have him on the sidelines since signing from Newcastle.
