Schalke boss warns over Baros deal
Schalke finance chief Josef Schnusenberg has claimed the club would struggle to meet Liverpool’s current demands for Czech Republic forward Milan Baros.
The Gelsenkirchen-based side want the 24-year-old Baros to boost their strikeforce for this year’s Bundesliga and Champions League campaigns.

However, they have ruled out paying £6.2million (€9m) for the player while a loan deal is one possible solution to the problem.
Schnusenberg told www.kicker.de: “We will try to get this player (Baros) on a loan basis from Liverpool.
“But we should not get overexcited. We don’t know what his demands will be.
“Especially such a deal can only be done if everything happens; the deal, the loan and that there is not a condition that we have to buy the player in a year.”
Asked if Schalke would pay out nine million euros for Baros in 12 months, Schnusenberg said: “Not as it stands today.
“If we did that it would prevent us from buying any more players. We are definitely not paying nine million euros for one player.”
