Greece Euro 2004 hero Traianos Dellas has revealed he is being tempted by an offer to join Rangers.

The 29-year-old defender, who scored the silver goal to defeat the Czech Republic in the Euro 2004 semi-final on the way to their amazing triumph in the competition, is set to leave Roma on a free transfer at the end of the season.

He told The Scottish Sun: “I have had an official approach from Rangers. A director from the club called me and I have to admit Rangers put on the table a good offer – one that will be difficult to refuse.”

Dellas added: “I don’t want to rush things and I will not make any decision until the end of the season.

“I have to focus on Roma and once we are guaranteed survival in Serie A (the club are three points above the relegation zone) then I will speak with my agent to see what other offers I have.”
