Magpies big hitters back

Newcastle manager Graeme Souness will turn to his big guns once again as he attempts to extend his side’s unbeaten run to 11 games at Bolton on Sunday.

Alan Shearer, Craig Bellamy, Shay Given, Andy O’Brien, Robbie Elliott, Stephen Carr, Nicky Butt and Lee Bowyer were all rested for the Carling Cup win over Norwich in midweek, and all could return.

Kieron Dyer remains on the long-term casualty list with a hamstring problem, but has returned to training and could be ready to play in less than a fortnight.
