O'Brien back for Newcastle

Newcastle defender Andy O’Brien has recovered from the groin injury which has kept him out of his side’s last two games and returns to contention for tomorrow night’s UEFA Cup quarter-final, first leg with PSV Eindhoven in Holland.

Striker Michael Bridges was also in the 22-man party which flew out from Newcastle International Airport this morning after shaking off a shin problem.

However, Lee Bowyer did not travel as the midfielder served the fifth game of his six-match European ban.
