Former Southampton manager Gordon Strachan has been landed with disrepute charges by the Football Association after comments he made about assistant referee Mike Tingey in February .

Former Southampton manager Gordon Strachan has been landed with disrepute charges by the Football Association after comments he made about assistant referee Mike Tingey in February .

Strachan will have to answer to charges of failing to act in the best interests of the game and bringing the game into disrepute with regard to his comments about linesman Tingey after the Saints' 2-0 defeat to Arsenal at Highbury.
