Roof to close for Carling Cup Final

Sunday’s Carling Cup final at the Millennium Stadium will be played under a closed roof for the third successive year.

Football League spokesman Ian Christon said: “The roof has been closed for this event for the last two seasons and we believe it adds to the sense of occasion by helping to create an electric atmosphere, while also protecting supporters from the elements.
