Chelsea linked with swoop for Duff

Chelsea have been linked with a big money swoop for Irish international Damien Duff, following Roman Abramovich’s arrival at Stamford Bridge.

The Blackburn winger is a target for many of the Premiership's elite, and Manchester United and Liverpool have both expressed an interest in the 24-year-old.

There was also talk of an official move to snap up Real Madrid midfielder Geremi by the London outfit.

Juventus have claimed that they turned down an approach for Edgar Davids while Inter Milan declared they had rejected a bid for Christian Vieri.
