Black Cats bring in Poom on loan deal

Sunderland have signed Derby goalkeeper Mart Poom on a two-month loan deal with a view to a permanent transfer.

The Barclaycard Premiership side have only one fit goalkeeper at the moment with Thomas Sorensen and Thomas Myhre both sidelined.

Poom’s move to the Stadium of the Light was confirmed by Derby.

“We are delighted it has reached a satisfactory conclusion financially,” chief executive Keith Loring told dcfc.co.uk.
