Olisadebe arrives for Blues talks
Poland international striker Emmanuel Olisadebe has arrived in England for talks with Birmingham about a £3.3m (€5.1m) move to the Barclaycard Premiership new boys.
The Panathinaikos marksman will open negotiations with the Blues today on a four-year contract.
If manager Steve Bruce can persuade the 23-year-old to join Birmingham it will be his fourth international signing of the summer after the earlier arrivals of Robbie Savage, Aliou Cisse and Kenny Cunningham.
Blues boss Steve Bruce said: ‘‘I am very pleased that the board have backed me in the decisions I have made in the transfer market.
‘‘The club has waited 16 years to get into the Premiership and what we have to do now is stay there.’’
As for his talks with Olisadebe, Bruce added: ‘‘We will see how things progress from here.’’
