Dwight Yorke’s proposed transfer to Middlesbrough has reportedly stalled over the player’s wage demands.

Boro have agreed a £6.2m fee with Manchester United, but Yorke is understood to be demanding between £45,000 and £55,000 a week for his services.

Middlesbrough are only prepared to offer the player £35,000 a week, which is still higher than the £24,000 he currently earns at Old Trafford.
