Eircom League: Court stops Kenny from leading Bohs

Liam O'Brien will lead Bohemians out against Longford Town in the FAI Carlsberg Cup later today, after the High Court stopped Stephen Kenny from having any involvement in the game.

O'Brien confirmed that he would be taking charge of the Gypsies tonight. Longford went to court to prevent Kenny from taking part in the game, claiming that under the Trade Secrets Act their former manager would know too much about the preparations of the Flancare Park side, despite the fact that Kenny took charge of training at Dalymount Park this week.

Kenny accepted that he would not be able to lead his side out for his first game since taking charge of the Dublin club, although he was confident that he prepared his new side for the game in training.

The courts will deal with Longford’s claims that Kenny was in breach of his contract in January.
