Soccer: New blow for Foxes' Sinclair

Leicester City's Frank Sinclair has suffered another set-back and will be out of action for up to six weeks with damaged knee ligaments.

The defender sustained the injury during the win over Liverpool in a tackle with Steven Gerrard.

Now Sinclair is resigned to being sidelined until at least the early part of April.

Sinclair said: "I've done my medial ligaments. I'm falling to bits! This has been a nightmare season for me.

"I've had a hernia problem, hamstring injury, calf injury and now this. I've never been one in the past to pick up injuries but I'm making up for it this season.

"They've piled up this year but Saturday was just one of those things. It was one of those tackles that both myself and Steven Gerrard went in for honestly and sometimes someone is just unfortunate to get injured.

"I immediately felt my knee jar and it is quite sore now but it could have been worse. As long as you stay away from damaging the cruciate ligament, then that's the main thing.

"It's frustrating because I had just got back into the team and was enjoying it and the run we were having. But it looks a five to six-week job now."

Leicester manager Peter Taylor confirmed: "The one down side of the win over Liverpool is Frank's injury which looks like keeping him out for five to six weeks.

"It's a blow to us and him and it comes at a time when we had just got a virtually fully fit squad for the run-in to the end of the season."
