Pedro: Suarez’s four month ban excessive

Barcelona forward Pedro has branded new team-mate Luis Suarez’s four-month ban for biting by Fifa as "excessive".

The Uruguay striker was hit with the suspension after his infamous lunge at Italy striker Giorgio Chiellini during the recent World Cup.

Barca were still happy to spend around £75million to buy the forward from Liverpool despite his enforced sidelining and the forward, whose initial appeal was rejected, is taking his case to the Court of Arbitration For Sport.
