Chelsea shift emphasis from attack to defence

CHELSEA manager Luiz Felipe Scolari has shifted the emphasis from attack to defence this week in a bid to keep the club’s faltering title challenge on track.

The Blues’ indifferent form in recent weeks has seen them slip three points behind leaders Liverpool at the Barclays Premier League summit.

Scolari’s side have paid the price for poor defending from dead-ball situations a number of times in recent months and the Brazilian is determined to put a stop to it. Defeat against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday could leave them six points adrift of Rafa Benitez’s side, who face struggling Stoke.
