Gunnarsson lauded

WATFORD manager Ray Lewington hailed the performance of Brynjar Gunnarsson after his side recorded their second away victory in five days by defeating 10-man Millwall 2-0 at The Den.

Iceland international Gunnarsson, signed on a free transfer from Nottingham Forest, was magnificent in midfield, never allowing opponents to settle and providing the perfect platform for a win that was secured, thanks to second-half goals from Danny Webber and Heidar Helguson.

“He did a fantastic job,” said Lewington.
