Exeter land plum third-round cup tie at Old Trafford
The Nationwide Conference side earned their money-spinning trip to face the holders at Old Trafford after beating League One Doncaster in round two.
Ryman League side Yeading were also handed a glamour tie after being paired with Newcastle. Premiership champions Arsenal were drawn at home to Coca-Cola Championship Stoke, while current leaders Chelsea were given a tie against Scunthorpe.
Stoke were one of seven championship teams to be drawn against Premiership opposition.
Burnley will take on Liverpool; Tottenham were paired with Brighton, and Leeds were handed a trip to Birmingham. Blackburn must travel to Cardiff; Aston Villa will go to Sheffield United, and Fulham take on Carling Cup semi-finalists Watford. Bolton were also drawn away at Ipswich.
League One’s Oldham were given a date with neighbours Manchester City, while Everton face a long trip to Plymouth.
Hinckley United, the third non-league side in the draw after their 0-0 stalemate with Brentford yesterday, will play Luton if they can come through their replay with the Bees. The winners of the replay between Swindon and Notts County will host Middlesbrough, while Northampton will play Southampton.
Charlton and Portsmouth are at home to Rochdale and Gillingham respectively.
