Valdano bewitched by Becks’ team spirit

DAVID BECKHAM has been praised for putting team spirit ahead of showboating following his arrival at Real Madrid.

Beckham’s €35million move to Real from Manchester United raised questions as to whether the England captain could adapt to not only the Spanish way of life, but also the Bernabeu brand of football.

According to Real’s director of sport Jorge Valdano, Beckham has so far exceeded expectations on and off the pitch, making a major impact during the club’s Far East tour.
