Bellamy fighting for his Magpies future

CRAIG BELLAMY insisted yesterday that he has no desire to leave Newcastle and has vowed to train with the kids if forced to do so by manager Graeme Souness.

Bellamy fighting for his Magpies future

It would appear Bellamy is prepared to fight for his future at the club, despite being told by Souness he no longer has a career at St James’ Park.

He was exiled on loan to Celtic for the final four months of last season following a bitter and public bust-up between the duo towards the end of January.

The Bhoys, along with Everton, Manchester City, Aston Villa and Birmingham City, are among a number of clubs who have expressed an interest in taking the troublesome Bellamy off Souness’ hands.

Bellamy, though, is ready to face the Scot, with the crunch to come on July 4 when the Magpies return to pre-season training ahead of their Intertoto Cup matches less than a fortnight later.
