Reyes hopes United big guns won’t be blazing

SPAIN’S Jose Antonio Reyes is hoping England defenders Gary Neville and Rio Ferdinand can put domestic issues to one side when the two countries clash tomorrow night.

The Arsenal star played in the infamous ‘Battle of Old Trafford’ which saw Manchester United end Arsenal’s 49-match unbeaten run - a game also remembered for allegations of a post-match fracas between the two clubs.

“They (Neville and Ferdinand) were a bit dirty, I hope they don’t dish out as many kicks as they did at Old Trafford, because that was incredible. I don’t think that will be repeated and this game is not going to be a question of vengeance - we’ll have that in the Carling Cup,” he said.
