Ronaldo set to sign new United deal

MANCHESTER UNITED winger Cristiano Ronaldo looks certain to continue his career at Old Trafford.

Europe’s big guns are casting envious eyes over the 20-year-old Portuguese international after a string of superb displays for club and country.

However it is understood that he has agreed a lucrative new five-year deal at United and is due to sign when he returns from holiday, which will be a massive boost for manager Alex Ferguson in his bid to regain the high ground from Chelsea.

Ronaldo has scored 15 goals in 90 games for United after moving from Sporting Lisbon for £12.5million as an 18-year-old.

United are also close to signing Park Ji-Sung from PSV.

The South Korean midfielder had been linked to both United and Chelsea, and he appears to have been sold on a move to Old Trafford.

His agent Kim Jeong-il revealed: “He has decided to join United.”
