THE FAI yesterday insisted it has not adopted a plan to begin the interview process for a new national team manager despite speculation that Kenny Dalglish was scheduled to visit Dublin next weekend.

FAI President Milo Corcoran said they were pushing ahead with as much speed as possible with completing the small committee charged with initiating a selection process.

Three FAI officers will sit on the interview board: Milo Corcoran, John Delaney, honorary treasurer and Kevin Fahy, honorary secretary. They had agreed to invite a person or persons experienced in international football to join with them in deciding on the best way to proceed to secure a new manager.
