Ireland will begin the Northern Series of the inaugural Nations Championship against Argentina in Dublin on Friday, November 6. Eight days later, they will face Fiji, and the following week world champions, South Africa.
The Nations Championship turns the existing summer and November international windows into a competitive format with 12 teams, six each representing the northern and southern hemispheres, split into two groups.
It all culminates in the 'finals weekend' in London over November 27, 28, and 29. Ireland will play one more game with their opponent determined by their finishing place in the group. Each team will play their equivalently ranked country from the opposing hemisphere group, with the first v first match the highlight of the weekend.Â
As part of the Southern Series, Ireland will play Australia on July 4 in Sydney, Japan on July 11 at a venue to be confirmed, and New Zealand in Auckland on July 18.
