France fullback Thomas Ramos to leave Toulouse and join Racing 92

France international Thomas Ramos will leave Toulouse at the end of the 2026-27 season, joining Top 14 rivals Racing 92 on a three-year deal. 

Bar a season on loan at Colomiers, the 31-year-old - who can play at fullback and out-half - has spent his entire career career with Toulouse, making his debut as an 18-year-old in 2014. 

“This was a particularly difficult decision to make," said Ramos, who has 52 caps for France.

"Stade Toulousain is my club, the club that has seen me grow, flourish and experience moments I will never forget.

“I have chosen to take on a new sporting challenge, with the desire to discover a new environment and continue my development.

“Although our paths will part at the end of this season, the respect, gratitude and affection I have for Stade Toulousain will remain intact.

“Right now, all my energy is focused on this final season in this jersey. I will give everything to help the club achieve its goals.”

Ramos has won two Champions Cups and six Top 14 titles with Toulouse. 

“Thomas Ramos is one of the faces of Stade Toulousain," said Toulouse president Didier Lacroix.

"Beyond his immense talent, he is an exceptional competitor and a player whose exacting standards drive the entire team forward.

“Seeing a player of this stature leave is never insignificant, but it is part of the life of a club and elite sport.

“Between now and his departure, only one thing matters: achieving success together during the 2026–27 season.
