Bulloch to miss Leinster clash
Scotland captain Gordon Bulloch has been ruled out of Glasgow’s Celtic Cup quarter-final against Leinster at Lansdowne Road tomorrow.
The hooker, selected for the Lions tour of New Zealand this summer, has a leg injury although it is not serious.
Head coach Hugh Campbell explained: “Gordon injured a leg in training last week. It has not responded in time and he can’t be considered for the Dublin match.”
However, it is expected Bulloch will be available the following weekend should Glasgow beat Leinster tomorrow and qualify for a home semi-final against Edinburgh or Munster.
“We expect him to be fully fit in a few days,” the coach added.
Bulloch’s injury opens the door for Scott Lawson and his recall marks the only change among the forwards who started when Glasgow lost to the same opponents at Hughenden in the final round of Celtic League matches two weeks ago.
Fergus Thomson has been drafted on the bench as back-up hooker. Scott Barrow will play inside centre with Graeme Beveridge replacing Sam Pinder at scrum-half in a reshuffle of the back line.
Andrew Henderson switches to outside centre with Andy Craig dropping to the bench.
Andrew Wilson, like Thomson, returns to the squad among the replacements. The flanker missed the league match against Leinster because of a family wedding.
