Aidan O’Brien and Johnny Murtagh finally got off the mark for Royal Ascot 2010 as Lillie Langtry ran out an impressive winner of the Coronation Stakes.

Sent off the 7-2 favourite after finishing fifth in the Irish 1000 Guineas on her first start of the season, the three-year-old was settled on the heels of the leaders until the turn for home.

Gile Na Greine put up a bold effort from the front but Lillie Langtry wore her down inside the final two furlongs before kicking on to score by a length and quarter.

Jacqueline Quest, demoted to second after passing the post in front in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket, kept on for third.
