Ghaire tops Guineas list
Jim Bolger’s Cuis Ghaire is among 21 possibles for the Boylesports.com Irish 1000 Guineas at the Curragh on Sunday as she bids to go one place better than her second place finish in the English equivalent.
Last year’s Albany Stakes winner found only Ghanaati too strong in the first fillies’ Classic of the season at Newmarket and is one of four entries for Bolger along with Aaroness, Duaisbhanna and Oh Goodness Me.
David Wachman has left in his Moyglare Stud Stakes winner Again, as well as Always Be True, Chintz and Love Bird.
Brian Meehan’s Newmarket Guineas third Super Sleuth has been supplemented for the Group One event, while Mick Channon’s Lahaleeb and the Clive Brittain-trained Nashmiah are other interesting British challengers.
