Huntingdon to inspect early tomorrow

Huntingdon officials have called an 8.15am inspection on the morning of Thursday’s meeting.

Another wintry forecast is providing clerk of the course Andrew Morris with some consternation.

He said: “The track is good to soft, frozen in places.

“The forecast is for temperatures to drop to minus-one degrees by midnight - but we could have snow, sleet or rain by 3am.

“Although we are not entirely positive by that forecast, if it was to come as rain, instead of snow, then we would be able to race.”
