Maoineach dictates Curragh heat to win
Jim Bolger’s newcomer Maoineach made an impressive start to her career with victory in the Go And Go Round Tower Stakes at the Curragh.
Always travelling strongly in the hands of Kevin Manning, the 14-1 chance was brought wide of the field to challenge two furlongs from home in the Group Three contest.
She soon began to pull away from her rivals and passed the post a length and a quarter clear of Silver Shoon.
Paddy Power and William Hill gave the juvenile an opening quote of 25-1 for next year’s 1000 Guineas at Newmarket.
