Jarvis trio duck Ascot raid

Michael Jarvis is unlikely to have a runner in Saturday’s valuable totesport International at Ascot – despite having three entries.

We’ll Come, Tawaash and Kal Barg are all around the 16-1 mark in the ante-post lists but look set to miss the race.

“I don’t think I’m going to have a runner,” said Jarvis.

“We’ll Come ran on Saturday behind Welsh Emperor at Haydock but it was bottomless ground.

“The other one, Tawaash, will probably head towards Goodwood.

“Kal Barg also only ran on Saturday so it will be a bit quick for him so I don’t think we’ll have a runner.

“Tawaash wasn’t disgraced in the Jersey at Ascot and ran well under a big weight last time. I think he wants six/seven furlongs and he just found the seven stretching him at Ascot.

“I think the seven-furlong, three-year-old handicap (XL Insurance Stakes) at Goodwood is the race for him.”
