Huntingdon to check tomorrow morning
Huntingdon have called a precautionary inspection for 7.30am due to the threat of overnight frost.
Clerk of the course Fiona Needham reports the track to be perfectly raceable at present but is concerned by the forecast ahead of Wednesday’s meeting.
She said: “The temperature only dropped to zero last night so we are absolutely fine at the moment.
“The forecast is for a more severe frost tonight and temperatures could drop as low as minus four at its worst, although we were forecast minus two last night and it wasn’t as bad as that.
“Obviously if it were to drop to minus four, we would have problems and that is why we have called a precautionary inspection.”
