Teofilo considered for Criterium

Stan James 2000 Guineas favourite Teofilo could run again this season.

Jim Bolger’s brilliant Dewhurst Stakes winner is being considered for the Group One Criterium International at Saint-Cloud on October 29, ground permitting.

Should Teofilo run in France, it would be his first try over a mile.

“Those Group One races are sweet but the ground will need to be good,” Bolger told the Racing Post.

“It was softer than he likes at Newmarket. Neither he or the second (Holy Roman Emperor) horse had their ideal ground but they both ran excellent races.”
