Harry Dunlop, son of trainer John and brother of Ed, will be the third family member to join the training ranks in 2007 when taking over the reins at Windsor House Stables in Lambourn.

The 29-year-old has been chosen by Peter Walwyn to replace Ralph Beckett, who will take over from Newmarket-bound David Elsworth at Whitsbury Manor.

Dunlop is currently assistant trainer to his father but as well as keeping up the family tradition of training Flat horses, he will also try his hand at jumping as well.

“I’ve wanted to train from an early age, and I’m looking forward to keeping up the family tradition,” Dunlop told The Racing Post.

“The yard has 50 boxes and the aim will be to fill as many of them as possible.”
