Lowe wins in Blackpool
John Lowe turned in yet another Winter Gardens winning performance with a brilliant display to destroy Alex Roy in their first round encounter at the PDC Stan James World Matchplay on Monday afternoon.
The veteran showed there is no substitute for experience as he brushed aside the young pretender Roy in convincing fashion 10-2.
Lowe made a blistering start to race into a 4-0 lead with some heavy scoring and unerring accuracy on the doubles.
As reward for his win over Roy, Lowe now faces Denis Ovens in the next round.
